Headon Warren Walk

Panoramic views of the western approaches

This walk has spectacular views across the western approaches to the Solent, and across to the mainland and Hurst Castle.

It’s a great walk for sunset photos!

The route starts to the east of the warren with on-road parking on Cliff Road, and take the track heading west. The path is usually well-drained and dry for the whole route.

Once at the top, take the right-hand split and follow the path round to the far end where you can usually get stunning photos of the needles in the distance.

On the way back, take the right-hand side and loop back around the paths to the start of the walk. On the way back you will have views across the Alum Bay valley below, Tennyson Monument and the white cliffs above Freshwater Bay in the distance.
